As part of our ongoing commitment to improving efficiency and reducing waste, Replas Machinery recently invested in a new plastics granulator at our production facility.
Installed in April, the granulator allows suitable production waste and runners generated during the injection moulding process to be processed and re-used where appropriate. By recovering material that would otherwise be discarded, the system helps reduce waste, improve material utilisation and support more sustainable manufacturing practices. The investment forms part of our wider approach to responsible manufacturing. Whilst not all materials and applications are suitable for reprocessing, the ability to recover and reuse material where practical helps minimise waste and improve overall production efficiency.
As an injection moulder, we understand the importance of balancing environmental responsibility with product quality. Any reprocessed material is carefully assessed to ensure it remains suitable for the intended application and continues to meet customer requirements.
The addition of the granulator also provides greater flexibility when processing recycled materials, an area that continues to attract growing interest from customers looking to improve the sustainability of their products and supply chains.
